Lane Shields is a 21-year-old university student, from Saskatoon, born in Rosetown SK, he embraced small town living but moved with his parents to Prince Albert and then Saskatoon. 6 years ago he received his first guitar when his great grandfather passed away with the promise he would learn to play and use it.  And use it he did!  He began learning to play.  Vocal and song writing lessons soon followed as he began to pursue a career in country music.  Since that time, he has been performing at a variety of venues and functions in and around Saskatoon including the Hillbilly boogey, Eagle Creek and Dalmany days, and is committed to working on expanding his career as a local artist. Lane has been lucky enough to collaborate with some well-known people in music such as Codie Prevost, Brody Siebert, and Scott Patrick and has started recording his original music for everyone to hear. Lane's debut single "Take the Long Way" Co-written by Codie Prevost and Jesse Weiman came out March 27th 2017 to Canadian country radio and now Lane has released his second single "Boy Became A Man" on October 23rd 2017 to honour Canada's military with all proceeds going to "War Amps". Lane was awarded the SCMA Youth Development Award at the 2014 SCMA Awards, in Nipawin SK.
